About us

Students   Training   Reviving   Integrating   Discipling   Evangelizing

STRIDE is a program that grew out of the need for a Christ-based year-round young adult training program in Michigan. The first year highlighted 4 students working with 3 local churches and has grown exponentially since then. The students come from many different walks of life but are united by the goal of sharing the gospel and serving those around them.

Each day students focus on personal development, online courses, diverse training, and ministering to others. The day begins with a hearty breakfast followed by family-style worship and prayer time, For the remainder of the morning online college classes are the main focus. That is until lunchtime.

The first portion of the afternoon consists of outreach coordination and relevant training from local and guest speakers such as David Pano, Mark Howard, Kameron DeVasher, and Cody Francis. The many topics cover giving bible studies, working with church members, the ups and downs of ministry, practical Christianity, how to work with other ministries, how board meetings work, and so much more.

The remainder of the day is focused on giving bible studies, working with members, attending church functions, and door-to-door outreach. The day finishes with the missionaries returning to their apartments and getting much-needed rest.

Adult Students

Students

The STRIDE program is designed for college-age students and those looking to continue their education.

With daily time for further education through online classes, STRIDE offers the unique opportunity to study and work with local churches simultaneously.

We seek to educate in every aspect through spiritual, mental, and physical learning opportunities.

Reviving

Through personal revival, STRIDE students are being renewed in their faith and passion for Christ. This revival is inspiring and influencing local laymembers, encouraging them to grow spiritually and engage more actively in their churches. As students experience transformation, their impact spreads, bringing new life and energy to their congregations.

Integrating

Every STRIDE student is assigned to a local congregation where they actively participate in the life of the church. Beyond serving, they attend board meetings, learn about church structure, and gain insight into how a church operates. This hands-on experience equips students with practical knowledge of church leadership and ministry while fostering relationships with church members.

   Discipling

We are passionate about discipleship because it’s the foundation of lasting spiritual growth. By investing in others through intentional relationships, we help them grow in faith, follow Jesus more closely, and equip them to disciple others. It’s a calling we take seriously, knowing it creates a ripple effect that transforms lives, churches, and communities.

Literature

We partner with the Michigan Conference Literature Ministries Department and BibleStudyOffer.com to provide Books, Tracks, and Bible Study Guides, to those we meet while going door to door.

Service

Part of what we do is community service, including yard work and basic home repairs. Through serving others, we meet their needs while pointing them to Christ.

Health

Not only do we focus on mental and spiritual growth, but we also prioritize physical health. A good diet and regular activity are key parts of a STRIDE student’s daily life.
